Makoto is one of the oldest traditional whiskey distillery’s in Japan still in operation by the descendants of the original founders. Named after one of the virtues of Bushido, the warriors code, sincerity and honesty is at the heart and soul of this family and is what has kept them operating for almost 400 years.
This was a fun project where we got to explore traditional brush and ink style illustrations and incorporate them into the packaging and supporting web page graphics.
